About the network

Purpose

PORTIUS makes every effort to bring all port law specialists into contact with each other and to make their expertise, publications and other activities known to all interested parties. This is done via the contact information and lists of publications which are available via the personal network member pages on this website and our newsletter, which is distributed free of charge four times a year.

You will find a list of the current members of our network and our sister organisations here.

How to become a member?

Membership is open to all academics, legal practitioners and in-house lawyers who have contributed to the study of port law through original publications (not necessarily in English). In order to join the network, we ask you to submit a CV and a list of publications on port law together with a pdf or printed copy, and to provide a digital photo. Your application will be assessed by the management of Portius. Membership is completely free, but we thank you to send us a copy of your new publications on port law. In consultation with you, we can publish a list of publications on port law and, if you wish, include a link to pdf documents or a webshop.

PORTIUS is also open to cooperation with other institutes and organisations that deal with port law and invites them to join the International Port Law Network as well. Our intention is to promote each other’s projects and realizations in a spirit of enthusiastic cooperation and with the ultimate goal of promoting knowledge and study of port law.
